Business is essentially everywhere you go. Whether you own, manage or visit one, you interact with business every day. Even the way you manage your own life is like a business, too. As an adult, you’re tasked with managing your own finances to grow wealth, you must be able to market yourself for a job or even finding new friends, and you’re challenged with managing your own time, mindset, and goals often.
Join our versatile program where you will study general business and management skills with a focus on minority owned entrepreneurship. Scholars will learn many aspects of owning and managing their own business. We allow you the diversity to decide what business YOU want to start. We help you research, develop, and market your idea to create a business plan. This program also strives to enhance scholars' soft skills by enhancing their communication, listening, and teamwork abilities. Students finishing this program will be prepared for starting their own business, prepared for business employment, and/or attending college.
We also have a direct partnership with Beyond Expectations Barbering College where scholars can participate in both programs simultaneously. Scholars who complete both programs will have the business knowledge and a barbering license to start their own barbershop.
Students in this program will learn:
